What’s up, it’s Kurt!
I LOVE TO MOVE! And I’m here to help people learn about their health and improve their lives through movement.
The human body as a whole has always been one of my biggest interests. Over time, I began to understand that physical activity was a fun, healthy, and powerful way to positively affect your own body and mind. Through intentional movement, you can improve the strength of not just your muscles, but your all of the body’s organ systems (brain, heart, lungs, liver — you name it.) I found this fascinating, and am still obsessed by capacity and complexity of the human body.
I followed my interests, and went on to obtain both my B.S in Exercise Science and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Saint Louis University. Knowledge alone wasn’t enough. I had to feel it, experience it, live it first hand. Throughout my personal and professional development, I’ve rehabbed my own injuries and experimented with many different training styles. I started out with a love of powerlifting and bodybuilding, broadening my interests over time. Most recently, I have been captured by endurance events, completing multiple marathons, triathlons, and ultramarathons. I continue to help others alleviate pain, recover from injury, and reach their goals as a practicing physical therapist.
I believe that running, lifting, breathing, pushing, pulling, crawling, carrying, reaching, etc. — are all blocks that make up the foundation movement. And movement provides you an opportunity to understand your own humanity
You are born. Your body evolves. Your body devolves. You die. Life is valuable and fragile. You and I both only get one body of our own, lets take care of it!
lets work together.

Building physical fitness while managing low back pain
devolv?
Modern life has made us more comfortable, but less capable. Despite incredible advancements in technology, our ability to move has quietly regressed—we sit more, move less, and rely on convenience, diminishing our physical capacity. To evolve our own movement patterns, we need to look at the past rather than the future. At Devolv Performance and Rehab, our mission is to help people restore natural movement patterns and find the balance between performance and longevity. —build mobility, strength, and endurance so you can live and move without pain, and enjoy the adventures of life.
